Nestle wanted to increase the market share of their confectionary products within independent retailer outlets, where the consumer is facing a huge amount of brand and product choice at fixture. This would mean creating something unique to help Nestle products stand out.
The Lighthouse creative team designed and developed a special injection moulded tray which would highlight the Nestle single-serve confectionary brands on fixture to really make them pop. The final solution had real impact, helping the confectionary brands stand out using a premium, high gloss material specially manufactured in the Nestle red and shaped with a jigsaw feature to allow multiple products to be displayed together. The trays also helped with product permanency in-store and with keeping products displayed neatly.

Following the success of an initial trial with 40 independent retailers, 70,000 units were then produced for the bulk roll out across 8,000 independent stores. From the initial idea to final design, tooling and then testing and production for the trial it took just 12 weeks, with the full roll out completed by 20 weeks. The units successfully increased market share, in line with company targets.
